A Few Holidday Books for December

The Christmas Shoes by Donna Van Liere -This book was a fun read to get the Christmas spirit. It was sad and yet happy in the end. I think the parallel stories were kind of cool and then seeing them weave together was special.

A Christmas Story: The Book that Inspired the Hilarious Classic Film by Jean Shepherd - This was a good book with lots of descriptions you could see hear and smell. It had way too much swearing for my tastes but was still funny.

Christmas Readings for LDS Families Compiled by George Brickerstaff - This was an older book or a few short stories about Christmas. Some of them have been made into their own children's stand alone Christmas books with illustrations. Cute and curious stories. Glad I read it.

A Christmas Dress for Ellen by Thomas S. Monson - Very cute and heart warming story of a poor family that has neighbors, family and friends that go out of their way to make the Christmas special.
