I loved this Classic Book! I am sure I have read it before, it seemed so familiar.
It is about a little girl growing up on the Wisconsin wild west 1860. It is a book similar to Little house on the prairie. This one was based on the stories the authors grandmother told about her childhood. There are Indians and adventures. The children were always getting into scraps. Caddie is such a tomboy. She has red hair and is brave, determined, clever, honest, and skillful.
She is truly an American Pioneer!
